Spike isn’t your average pup. He is a one-of-a-kind Irish Setter and Chihuahua cross with a look that matches his larger-than-life personality. Sporting a magnificent handlebar mustache, a custom green bandana, and his signature water blaster in a shoulder holster, Spike is locked, loaded, and ready to protect our local environment!
🦺 A Nod to History: The Golden Spike & Route 66
If you look closely at Spike’s collar, you will see his prized possession: a gleaming golden railroad spike charm.
That charm carries a lot of history. It is a direct tribute to the original, historic “Spike”—the final steel and gold spikes driven into the ground over a century ago to build America’s great railroads. While the original physical spikes are long dead and buried in the history books, their legacy of connecting the nation lives on.
Spike is carrying that torch straight down Route 66, bringing a fresh, green infrastructure boom to communities from coast to coast. Just like the railroads united America in the past, Spike is here to unite us around clean energy, sustainability, and community-led green zones.
